Holiday

Have you been looking forward to your holiday for a long time? As you know, the excitement starts with the planning, then comes the booking, then comes the organizational stress and potentially finding someone to look after your affairs whilst you are away. Informing employees about ongoing work processes, always something at the back of your mind, always the thought „hopefully none of the children will become ill before we leave"…

And then – finally – after an exhausting journey (queues on the motorway, thousands of people surrounding you at the airport), you are lying on the beach in the sun, hiking through mountains or whatever else. And then the following often happens after you have been away for just two days: you feel weak, you become ill, your partner gets more annoyed than usual, and so on

This means that, when on holiday, we generally look forward to going back to the workplace, something which is, of course, totally contradictory. According to statistics, more than 50% of employees look forward to going back to their job after their holiday – and this is not only the case for workaholics! If you are reading this while on holiday… then make sure that you are mentally ready for your return…
